Achievement
At Cedars Upper School our students’ achievements are a real source of pride and something we enjoy celebrating with individuals and their families throughout the academic year. Students receive achievement points for their engagement, determination and successes both in the classroom, through extra-curricular activities and also through community engagement.
Rewards assemblies recognise students’ achievements and there are reward days to also celebrate. These have included film showings, visits to activity centres, inflatable assault courses in school and of course regular comminution home via email and phone call to share our pride in our students’ accomplishments. Students who achieve exceptionally, through their learning or beyond the classroom, are also nominated for a Headteacher’s Commendation.
Our annual awards ceremony at the end of the academic year is an event where we invite parents and carers into school to share their child’s achievements with us, often including inspirational speeches from past students, musical and dramatic entertainment.
