Cedars Upper

Welcome to the Cedars 6 section of our website.

This section is a guide for our parents and students from all year groups to know how to improve their independent study and revision skills. This is not just an exam strategy, but a way of retesting and reinforcing key knowledge from a particular subject area so that the information goes from your working memory to long term memory.

Below are useful video guides on how to use each approach effectively. This is to ensure that students know how to create and revisit key knowledge so that revision and independent learning is an impactful and beneficial use of our students’ time.

Following on from these videos, each subject area for KS3 (Year 9) has chosen two methods they feel are the most impactful way to learn and revisit key concepts and topics. For KS4 and KS5 (Yrs 10-13), the two methods for these subject areas can be found on the exam information sheet and a link to this area of the website can be found here.
