Attendance

We believe that Cedars exists to provide the best possible education for all of its pupils through a commitment to the provision of high quality learning experiences, therefore Cedars considers regular and punctual attendance to be essential to maximise the benefits of these learning experiences. We ensure that students are fully aware of the positive correlation between attendance and achievement. Students have a morning registration with their Form Tutor, and they are registered in the afternoon by their teacher in period 5. Each form takes part in the inter-form 100 Club which includes league tables for attendance. Prizes are issued termly to Tutor groups and students with 100% attendance. We regularly celebrate the positive attendance of students and contact parents too. The school is committed to working with parents/carers and pupils to ensure that high levels of attendance are achieved.

f you need to report an absence from school, please telephone directly to the student's House Office or the main school reception prior to 8.30 on the first day of absence.
